Technology

Technical translations are made either by translators who have a degree in the technical field in cooperation with a linguistic proofreader or by linguists in cooperation with a technical proofreader. Every subject field has its own terminology, specific use of language and wording customs. Thus, translating professional texts requires a good feel for the language as well as knowledge of the subject from the translator. Translating texts with a strictly professional and specific use of language takes more time to go into and thus, the client should allow more time for completion of such translations.
  • Assist in the preparation of the translation, in order to ensure high quality (provide samples of special wording and terminology that you, as the person who is directly familiar with the subject matter, know best.). All supplementary materials and references are welcome.
  • For larger projects, we recommend that you order one or two pages of sample translation, in order to see whether the translation is suitable or not.
  • As for the deadline, in case of specific texts, a longer period should be agreed on (on average, 3-4 pages a day).

The ordering party can always give guidelines and recommendations - any cooperation is most welcome. In addition, we look forward to feedback after the completion of each translation.

In case of repetitive or voluminous translation materials (e.g. repeatedly ordered or one-time long user manuals, product descriptions, rules, etc.), we can analyse the texts before translation and calculate the actual translation volume with the help of a special program. In this way, we can help you reduce translation costs.

Orders for translations in this area can be sent directly to our project manager at tehnika@luisa.ee (Ingmar Pilt) or at elis@luisa.ee (Elis Ohak, International Client Manager).
